Or you can skip the main city tour and board directly at Katra railway station. To reach Kashmir via train, you would have to book the Vande Bharat Express from Katra itself, as there is no direct route.

How to Reach Kashmir by Bus?

Buses are yet another economical option; you can either book a private bus through RedBus or Make My Trip or directly go to the JKSRTC window at any ISBT. 

The best part about traveling by bus is that you get to witness breathtaking views and a closer look at passing valleys. You can choose a non-AC, Volvo, sleeper, or semi-sleeper bus as per your convenience and budget.

However, if you are traveling from a far-fetched city with a more than 24-hour journey, it is advisable to book a fully Wi-Fi AC bus with comfortable leg space. Majority of buses drop passengers at Pantha Chowk Bus Stand, which is just 30 minutes away from Srinagar. 

How to Reach Kashmir by Road?

Traveling to Kashmir by road with a personal vehicle is for thrill-seekers, someone who wants to curate a personalized trip. Roads are well-connected from Delhi to NH-44, which takes you through Sonipat, Ambala, Ludhiana, Pathankot, and finally Jammu before reaching the serene valley.

And the best about traveling with a personal vehicle is that you can go to any desired location, even if it wasn’t part of your plan. From the outskirts of Baisaran Valley to Lolab Valley, an untouched gem of Kashmir, you can easily prepare your itinerary on the spot.
